Beginner guide
Start with First Bite to learn punching, kicking, parrying, Bite, Style Eat, Body Hack, and Davy Burst. PlayStation lists adjustable difficulty and basic remapping; the exact button chart and difficulty names are not verified here.
Based on the demo announcement, official update notes, and store accessibility descriptions. No hands-on control or difficulty test was performed.
The three systems, in order
Style Eat is how you take a style. You eat an elite monster’s core and gain that form. The official site names 11 styles and calls out werewolf, harpy, golem, and vampire as examples. The full name list is on the styles page, and the skill names there are from a community guide, not a Sega manual.
Body Hack replaces body parts with Overtech gear that changes stats and active or passive skills. Davy Burst temporarily boosts abilities. The official description does not establish a resource called delusion, so no meter cost is assumed here.
Settings worth opening first
PlayStation lists basic difficulty adjustment, basic controller remapping, visual-comfort options, separate volume controls, and control/tutorial reminders. Exact presets and button assignments remain unverified. The September 22 demo update added an optional Combat Camera Assist and improved attack tracking.
The official bios assign mall services to Dr. Frank at Jupiter Target, Bessie at Bessie Burger, Goyle in the Security Room, and Acelino at Ink on the Brain. Check discovery records, Zombie Skill upgrades, dive results, and OT Gear respectively before spending materials.
For a first session, try the three systems in the free demo before buying. Check the control reminders and difficulty options if combat is uncomfortable. Do not reset a completed demo save just to retry the camera patch unless you accept losing all its progress; the official update explicitly warns that initialization deletes existing play data.

Questions
Can I remap the controls?
PlayStation lists basic controller remapping, meaning alternate presets or some remapping support. That does not establish unrestricted per-button remapping on every platform.
Is the game single-player?
Yes. Sega, Steam, and PlayStation all list one player, with no co-op tag.
